About Wishket

Wishket (위시켓) is a South Korean IT outsourcing and project-matching platform. Companies post software, app and web projects, and verified partners, both development agencies and freelance developers, send proposals. It is not a gig catalogue: every project goes through a consultation with a Wishket manager, who helps define requirements and suggests a fair budget and timeline before the project is published. Company details and sensitive information can stay hidden from applicants.

After publishing, clients compare quotes, portfolios and client reviews, hold meetings with the manager present, and sign a standard contract reviewed by a law firm on the platform. Payments run through an escrow payment protection system with a three-step dispute mediation process. Wishket also supports fixed-term on-site placements, where developers work at the client for a set period. The homepage reports more than 136,000 IT freelancers and 23,000 development companies (vendor-reported).

Clients pay nothing beyond the project cost plus 10% VAT. Partners pay the commission: 25% on outsourcing projects under 5 million KRW and 20% at 5 million KRW and above, 20% flat for Prime and Pro partners, and 10% on fixed-term on-site projects. Compared with Kmong, which sells fixed-price packages across many fields, Wishket is narrower (IT only) and slower to start, but better suited to custom development work that needs scoping and a contract.
