Sketch
A Mac-native design tool with real-time collaboration, prototyping and free developer handoff.
About Sketch
Sketch is a design toolkit built around a native Mac app, with a web app for collaboration, commenting and developer handoff. Designers can create interfaces, prototype interactions and share work in a shared Workspace, while unlimited free Viewers can browse, comment, inspect files and download assets in a browser.
It is aimed at individual designers, agencies and product teams who prefer a native Mac editing experience and a simple per-editor subscription. The Mac app requires macOS Sequoia (15.0.0) or newer and works offline, and an iPhone and iPad app lets you view designs and mirror from your Mac. Sketch is also adding AI features that connect to AI clients, and component variants and sections are in beta.
There is no permanent free plan, but a 30-day free trial needs no credit card. Subscriptions are billed per Editor: Standard $12 a month, Professional $24 and Enterprise $44 on yearly billing, plus a Private Cloud option. A Mac-only license is a one-time $120 purchase that includes one year of updates but no collaboration features. Nonprofits can get 50% off and education users a free Workspace.
